6. How to track your dog’s position

In order to track your dog's position, please follow these steps:

  • 1. Get yourself in an open outdoor environment, in order to have a good connection range and GPS accuracy.
  • 2. Turn on Bluetooth in your smartphone.
  • 3. Turn on Petfon APP.
  • 4. Turn on your modules and wait till they get connected in PETFON App.
  • 5. While walking, please make sure you are carrying both the smartphone and Controller with you. In the meantime, you can track your dog's position in the PETFON App (Menu ▶ Map).
Relevant information:
  • Position interval: 10 seconds (real-time GPS tracking), you could change the interval into 30 seconds or 1 minute as you wish.
  • Dog's position in the map: Given by the GPS of the Tracker.
  • Your position in the map: Given by the GPS of your smartphone.
